2020 GOAL UPDATE

We survived.  Another month of the stay at home order.  Another month of laying low.  But if you are reading this, you are here.  That's a blessing.
The cabin fever has subsided, mainly due to getting used to it.  My job is back and up and running (home construction) so I have a bedtime again.  Getting back into that routine

Still going out and enjoying the bike rides and walks though.  It has become a new norm.  One of our favorite bike rides is Alki Beach.  But not on the weekend.  It's too crowded to properly distance.

Back in December, I posted some lofty goals for 2020.   Both financial and personal.

In the past I would claim some NewYears resolutions, but would just forget about them or feel it is too late to achieve after a month or so.  I would put them off and put them off and not have anyone or anything to keep me on track.

Posting them on this blog forces me to stay true to my word.

Here are my goals and the progress as of the end of April

Keeping up on stashing all of my extra money and buying some shares in companies I spent money at.  Finished off getting AT&T shares to match what I spent last year on it.

PERSONAL PROGRESS:

1. Take a spring road trip.  Yellowstone would be ideal.  WELL, TOOK THE FAMILY YESTERDAY FOR A DAY TRIP ON A COUNTRY ROAD TOWARDS MT RAINIER THIS WEEKEND.  BUT THE REAL ROAD TRIP IS NOT LOOKING GOOD.

2. Exercise more.   I was doing well until my right knee and left achilles acted up.  Fell out of routine.  MORE BIKING AND HIKING RECENTLY.  DISCOVERING THE PARKS OF SEATTLE, LIKE FAUNTLEROY PARK, WHERE THERE IS AN ACTIVE SALMON RUN IN THE CREEK.

3. Drop about 20 lbs.   6 LB DOWN SO FAR.  SAME FORTHE PAST 2 MONTHS.

4. Drink more green tea. GETTING BACK INTO IT AT WORK

5. Sell off some of my record collection.   It was a long term goal to sell eventually.  Well, I have run out of room.  I think I would rather sell than keep some of the ones I rarely listen to.  NO ONE IS BUYING ANYTHING ON EBAY DURING THIS PANDEMIC.  STILL HAVE A COUPLE FOR SALE, BUT NO ONE IS BITING.

6. Improve piano skills and improve guitar skills. FOCUSED MORE ON PRODUCTION THIS MONTH.  MADE A BILLIE EILISH INSTRUMENTAL COVER SONG THAT IS REAL CLOSE TO THE REAL THING.  CHECK IT OUT.

Chickenwizard - "when I was older" (Billie Eilish instrumental cover)

7. Blog more. MASSIVE TOTAL FAIL.  SO LAME.  ONLY DID THREE LAST MONTH.  I PROMISE TO WRITE MORE SO NO ONE CAN READ SOMETHING...

8. Enjoy more oysters like these.  I NEED TO GET A COUPLE DOZEN VERY SOON.  I GOT A FEVER THE ONLY PRESCRIPTION IS MORE OYSTERS..

SEE YOU SOON!
